Cool Librarian Research offers library, instruction, and research services to individuals, non-profit organizations, and small businesses. I specialize in friendly, personal service tailored to meet your specific needs. The business is based in Bristol, Rhode Island; I conduct presentations and information literacy classes with clients in New England. However, most research, writing, editing, and web content projects can be managed and completed electronically (so I can help you, no matter where you are!).

Technology Presentations

Libraries - Does your staff need some help getting a handle on "Library 2.0" technologies? Are you unsure how a MySpace page or a blog could benefit your library? I can do fun, interesting, and practical presentations on tech theory for libarians and/or hands-on classes on most of the popular internet applications.

Conferences - I specialize in hands-on (no PowerPoint lectures!) technology workshops. Do your conference attendees want to actually set up a blog, MySpace page, Twitter account, or some other internet technology? I can show them how to do it without having a breakdown, and they can leave the workshop with their new technology live and online!

Information Literacy

Libraries - Your patrons now come to your reference librarians for everything from homework help to e-mail help. Helping your patrons find the info they need is good - teaching them skills for info management is even better. My professional background in instruction means I can teach classes and workshops to your patrons.
